Andrew Wiggins nella notte, contro gli Oklahoma City Thunder, ha segnato 40 punti. Ma la sua prestazione sta passando in secondo piano rispetto a dei commenti che il prodotto di Kansas ha rivolto nel post-partita all’indirizzo di Dennis Schroder, parole che gli hanno causato delle severe accuse di omofobia. Schroder è stato autore di una gara molto provocatoria, nel corso della quale è anche riuscito a causare l’espulsione di Jeff Teague.
Non so cosa abbia che non va. Si è comportato da gay. Stava facendo il pazzo senza motivo. Ma non considero Schroder un problema. Assolutamente no.
Proprio quel “gay”, utilizzato in maniera dispregiativa, ha scatenato le polemiche. Wiggins su Twitter ha provato a scusarsi, professando grande rispetto per la comunità LGBT e rettificando di aver detto “getting”, non “gay”.
