Un’altra conseguenza della pandemia da Coronavirus sulla NBA potrebbe essere la cancellazione dell’All Star Weekend 2021. Secondo quanto riportato dall’insider Adrian Wojnarowski di ESPN, la lega starebbe pensando di annullare l’evento di Indianapolis soprattutto perché appare sempre meno probabile poterlo disputare con la presenza del pubblico. Inoltre senza fermare la stagione per quei giorni sarebbe più facile comporre la regular season da 72 partite e far finire il campionato in tempo per le Olimpiadi, secondo l’ultimo piano del commissioner Adam Silver.
