Nonostante le prestazioni positive, DeMarcus Cousins è stato tagliato dai Milwaukee Bucks nelle scorse ore. La franchigia, come riportato da Shams Charania, avrebbe dovuto garantire il contratto di Boogie per il resto della stagione ed ha preferito invece liberare un posto nel roster e mantenere flessibilità. Cousins non rimarrà free agent a lungo, probabilmente: ci si aspetta diverse squadre interessate a lui.
Cousins ha giocato 17 partite con i Bucks, di cui 5 partendo in quintetto: per lui 9.1 punti e 5.8 rimbalzi di media in 16.9 minuti di utilizzo.
