Martedì i Brooklyn Nets in NBA hanno preso una decisione importante su Kyrie Irving e Kevin Durant ha fatto lo stesso. La squadra ha puntato i piedi sulla posizione no-vax di Irving dicendogli che non gli sarà permesso di giocare per la squadra a meno che non sia un “partecipante a pieno titolo”. Anche Kevin Durant è al centro di tutto questo e sembra che non sia contento di tutta questa situazione.
Secondo l’insider NBA, Ohm Youngmisuk di The Athletic, KD deve ancora parlare con Kyrie dopo il grande annuncio dei Nets:

Irving e Durant sono estremamente legati, quindi il fatto che non si parlino da diversi giorni è sicuramente un grosso problema per Brookyn e per l’NBA tutta. I Nets hanno preso una decisione monumentale che potrebbe potenzialmente avere un impatto significativo sul futuro di Irving con la squadra. E il fatto che KD non abbia contattato il suo amico (o forse l’ha fatto e ha fallito?) è quanto meno sospetto. Lo scenario peggiore è che questi due non si parlino più.
“Kevin Durant dice che ‘sicuramente vuole Kyrie ritorni’, ma dice che ‘Kyrie ha preso la sua decisione… e la squadra ha fatto lo stesso’. Vuole l’intera squadra unita e al completo, ma spera che alla fine tutto funzioni per entrambe le parti”.
Kevin Durant says he "definitely wants Kyrie around" but he says "Kyrie made his decision… and the team did the same." He wants the whole team together and at full strength but he hopes everything works out for both parties eventually.
